Napoleon Dynamite Animated Series

Not sure if this is necessary, but it could work. Looks sort of like Beavis and Butthead. It at least has the entire original cast as the voices (that's pretty cool). Here's the trailer. It will be airing on FOX.

KING "The Story"

I love this so much. I heard that this new Los Angelos girl trio are the faves of such musical greats as Prince and Erykah Badu (I was immediately intrigued and had to give them a listen). When I heard them, I could definitely see why. Their sound is smooth soul perfection. Beautiful, lilting and soulful melodies over soft electro-groove beats. I was hooked by the first verse. They have a similar organic sound to both Erykah and Jill Scott. They have released a 3 song EP called "The Story." If you haven't heard them yet, please give them a listen. I haven't stopped listening to all 3 songs since I got them. I am eagerly awaiting a full-length release. The video is kinda cute too.

13 Foot Python In Swimming Pool

I think I would have a heart attack if I went outside and saw this snake anywhere out in the wild.

Ugly X-Factor Elimination

This was so terrible. I just couldn't believe it. Apparently, Nicole Sherzinger decided not to vote and let A merica decide. I guess she didn't expect that America would decide against Rachel Crow (Yes, America sent that poor little packing). Rachel was devastated, and Nicole was devastated as well. I've never seen so many tears during an elimination. The little girl falls to the ground and tells her mother "but you promised me!" It was really, really bad. Please watch!

Mike Tyson performs "The Girl From Ipanema"

This kind of bizarre. It is a clip of Mike Tyson performing "The Girl from Ipanema" on a Brazilian TV show. Not sure why he was in Brazil or why he felt the need to perform the song, but it actually doesn't sound half bad. I was expecting it to be a joke, but he actually seems pretty into it. Watch the clip.

"Melancholia" Trailer

This new film by Lars Von Trier looks so interesting. It's about the end of the world and stars Kirsten Dunst. The cinematogrophy looks incredible. In Von Trier's previous films (Dancer I
n The dark, Dogville, Breaking the Waves) something horrible and tragic always happens to the female lead in the film. This time around it appears that the tragedy is happening to everyone in the film. At least the end of the world looks beautiful.

Yet Another New Beyonce video for "Dance For You"

Beyonce has yet another new video for a track called "Dance For You." It's one of the bonus tracks from her "4 (Deluxe Edition)" and probably one of my favorite tracks on the CD. B's choreography is smokin' hot. I also like that it is shot in black and white. She must have decided to do a lot of videos before her pregnancy started to show (I think this is the fifth or 6th video I've seen from this album so far).

Elisabeth Hasselbeck attacks Bill Maher on "The View"

Wow! Elisabeth attacks another guest on "The View." She barely lets him get a few words in before she attacks him. She is taking things a little too personally, he is a comedian. He did come there to promote his new book, he barely got to talk about it. Bill handled it nicely though. They really need to stop attacking their guests.

"New Years Eve" Movie Trailer

I swear this is exactly the same movie as "Valentine's Day" (it has the same director Garry Marshall). Some of the actors are even the same. Ashton Kutcher and Jessica Biel are in both movies, which was confusing for me because I initially thought maybe this was a sequel and that they were reprising their "Valentine's Day" roles. It is not a sequel, and actually looks like the exact same film that just moved to a different holiday. I think this will probably be an OK movie, but nothing too exciting. It does have a ton of excellent actors. Most notably it features Ashton Kutcher, Halle Berry, Michelle Pfeiffer, Hillary Swank, Ludacris, Sarah Jessica Parker, Jessica Biel, Robert De Niro, Katherine Heigl, Josh Duhamel and Jon Bon Jovi and pretty much everyone else in Hollywood at the moment. Looks like great cast in mediocre film (just like "Valentine's Day") I will probably skip this one.

"The Skin I Live In" Trailer And Review

I love everything that Pedro Almodovar touches. His films and stories are some of the most interesting and well directed movies of all time. This film is no exception, I think I have never been so disturbed and intrigued at the same time(maybe not since "Black Swan"). "The Skin I Live In" is far more disturbing than "Black Swan" if you can even imagine how that could be possible. Beautifully directed, but so dark and twisted. It literally blew my mind, I've never seen anything quite like this. I think everyone in the entire theatre felt the same way, slightly traumatized. It does have some graphically violent sex scenes, but if you can handle that you are in for quite a bizarre ride. Antonio Banderas is excellent as the creepy surgical lead. I feel like I couldn't even begin to tell you what the film is about, please see this film if you can handle it.

Mickey Rourke on Jay Leno

I usually think Mickey Rourke seems a little odd in interviews, he was especially odd in this one. First off, he groped Miss Piggy (she didn't seem to mind that much). Then his stories are a little odd as well (such as the transvestite bar that he used to work in as a bouncer). He also carries around a weird magnifying glass (I guess for reading). Strange man. I was doing something else in another room, but his bizarreness made me pay attention.

"Best Jobs Ever: Lego Professional"

This was amazing. I really couldn't believe what he was able to do with Legos. I agreed that this one of the "Best Jobs Ever." I believe that they call him a "Lego Professional." Take a look at what he is doing, quite interesting.

Common's "Blue Sky"

I love this new song and video for Common. I hope the rest of his new album called "The Dreamer, The Believer" sounds this way as well. The video has a very nice crisp look to it. Take a peek please.

Beyonce's New Video for "Party"

I love this video. I don't like that they have swapped Andre 3000 for J.Cole in the video (Kanye West also seems to be a no-show). B seems to be having fun though, she brought along sister Solange and Kelly Rowland. Check it out (it's interesting that it takes place in a trailer park, wonder why?)

Tattooed Barbie

I think these parents are going a little overboard. If you don't want your child to have this, then simply don't buy it! I think the doll accurately portrays a significant portion of young women these days. These moms should take a lgood look around outside.

NBC's new series "Grimm"

This is a new series that will debut on NBC. It is being described as "a cop drama—with a twist...a dark and fantastical project about a world in which characters inspired by Grimm's Fairy Tales exist". The previews also mentioned that it shares the same producer as "Buffy, The vampire Slayer" (which of course would catch my attention). I'll give it a try. The full length trailer is listed below. It will air Friday evenings at 9/8 central time.

Bjork "Biophilia" album review

The wait is finally over, the album hits stores last week. The album in general is a pretty mellow offering. Most tracks have a delicate, light, airy quality to them. Favorite tracks so far are "Moon" "Thunderbolt" and "Mutual Core." The songs are deceptively simple, but usually build to become rather complex. A lot of songs change tempo midway or the beats might intensify and then calm down again. The songs have an earth friendly quality and have interesting melodic harmonies (all songs have a theme of science and nature). A friend of mine heard the Biophilia songs and said to me that Bjork writes classical pieces with modern instruments or electronics. I have to say that I agree with her. Bjork is a classically trained musician although she doesn't to play instruments. The album is fascinating, but completely non-commercial (which is not necessarily a bad thing). Bjork has her own unique sound and vision and continues to put out music without sacrificing her uniqueness. While this new music is not groundbreaking for her, it does build from where she left off on her last effort "Volta." This album probably won't earn her any new listeners, but her fans will be more than happy with this latest outing.

"The Walking Dead" Season 2 trailer

The premiere episode for season 2 was so exciting. I feel like TV programs don't get much better than this. So horrifying and satisfying at the same time. The scene with the herd of zombies on the freeway was so scary and intense (I was literally on the edge of my seat). It really feels more like an ongoing film than a TV series. I highly recommend this show if you haven't seen it yet. Not for the squeemish though. Perfect for the Halloween season.

Dog that hates Julia Roberts

This was so weird, I had to blog about it. They mentioned this a couple of weeks ago on The Soup. This couple's dog recoils in horror at the mere site of Julia Roberts. First of all, why are they showing their dog pictures of Julia Roberts? The dog seems obviously traumatized by her, this is too funny.

"3 Musketeers" Trailer

I don't know how many times this movie has been redone, but this particular version could be exciting. It also has the added bonus of Milla Jovovich weiding swords (count me in). Milla alone could probably make me go out and see this movie. Orlando Bloom also stars in the film. The film opens next Friday, Ocober 14th.

"New Girl" theme by Zooey Deschanel

I think I love this show now also, and the theme song continues to be stuck in my head all day after I hear it. "Hey girl, whatcha doin'...Hey girl, where ya goin?" pretty cute indeed. The show is pretty good so far, I love Zooey's character Jess (not so crazy about the roomates though). I get kind of bored whenever they focus on the guy roomates. I feel like they could pretty much replace them with other characters and it wouldn't matter very much (they've actually already replaced the black male roomate with another black male roomate already). They should retool the show to just focus on Jess and it would be perfect, but the show is funny and charming in it's own way. Another winner for this Fall.

"Up All Night..." too funny

This show is so funny to me, it makes me laugh out loud. I think along with "2 Broke Girls," these are my 2 favorite picks of the new Fall shows. This clip is pretty funny (just ignore the foreign subtitles). Christina Applegate, Will Arnett, and Maya Rudolph are all hilariously funny. I liked this show a lot more than I thought I would. Give it a try please.

Bomba Estereo's "Ponte Bomb"

I saw this group perform at ACL on Sunday and they really rocked the house. I had never heard of them before, their live set was pretty good though. They are from Colombia. This video on the other hand is another story. It's so strange, I can't even begin to describe it. The song is a redo of Technotronic's "Pump Up The Jam" from back in the day. It's kind of a hot mess, but I couldn't turn away from it either. Please take a look at this.

Jennifer Lopez's New Fiat 500 Commercial

So J.Lo jumps out of this Fiat 500 and then busts a move with a bunch of peeps on the street. If only we could all do this on a daily basis (I guess you could, but people might look at you kind of weird on the street).

Idle Warship returns with "Laser Beams"

My favorite hip-hop super trio Idle Warship returns with new music Oct. 24th. The trio of Talib Kweli, Res, and Graph Nobel's 2009 free mixtape "Party Robot" was one of the best albums released that year. If their new album is anything like it, it will be thrilling as well. So far, two singles have been released from the upcoming album called "Habits of the Heart". The first was the lukewarm "System Addict" and now we are treated to a brand new single called "Laser Beams." Their music is pretty exciting and blends hip-hop, electonica, rock and soul together in an interesting way. "Party Robot" still continues to be in heavy rotation on my Ipod. Here's a clip of "Laser Beams."

Sade "Love Is Found"

I missed Sade's concert in Austin last night which made me pretty sad. I guess I'll just have to wait another 15 or 20 years for her to come around again. I have seen her twice already in concert, so it's not like I haven't seen her before. I just felt like I couldn't pay that much money for her concert tickets this time(even though I really did want to go). It also doesn't help that everyone keeps telling me how incredible the show was. I'll just watch this live video and listen to her live CD and pretend I was there. Here's a video clip for "Love Is Found."

Erykah Badu, Jaybo, and Miki make music and art

The always creative and incredible Erykah Badu collaborates with artist Jaybo and classical violinist Miki to create beautiful music and artwork. Very interesting to watch. It was interesting to see them all being inspired by one another. Erykah sounds incredible here with the string quartet. See clip below.

Zooey Deschanel's New TV Show "New Girl"

I'm mildly curious about this new show. It seems like Zooey pretty much plays the same character every time though. It could be promising (depends on what else this Fall has in store for us). I might use this one as a back-up plan, if some of my other TV options go sour. I will at least give this one a try.

Kanye and Jay-Z's "Watch the Throne" Deluxe Edition

I have to say that the Deluxe Edition has the best packaging that I have seen in awhile. It looks like a box of fancy chocolates, it is beautiful and a shiny metallic gold color. It also has beautiful artwork and a fold-out poster. My brother loaned me this disc and I was instantly sold on the packaging alone. The music is also pretty impressive. Not as abstract as "My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy," but intriguing in its own way. It starts off nicely with the dark throbbing beat of "No Church In The Wild" featuring the vocals of Frank Ocean (an instant classic).

The rest of the disc is also pretty fantastic, even though none of the other tracks really stand out besides the new single "Otis." My only real beef with this disc is that the Deluxe Edition only has 16 tracks (and I'm pretty sure I already had 3 of those back from when Kanye was giving away his songs for free on Fridays.) All in all, Kanye delivers once again. Any Kanye or Jay-Z fan would be pleased with this disc.

Bjork's "Thunderbolt"

I love this song and can't wait to hear the studio version. The beat comes from the electrical currents created by a Tesla Coil. This is one of my favorites so far, I wish she would release this one next instead of "Moon."

Awesome Bjork "Biophilia" Special Limited Edition

I can't tell you how badly I want this limited edition box set. It has a hefty price tag of $775 (needless to say, I can't afford it). The website says these are all sold out. I would like to meet the Bjork fan who is obsessed enough (and has $775) to buy this.

Here's what it has inside:

strictly limited to 200 copies with individual numbered certificates, the ultimate art edition will be made to order and fabricated only once.

lacquered and silkscreened oak hinged lid case containing the biophilia manual, along with 10 chrome-plated tuning forks, silkscreened on one face in 10 different colors, stamped at the back, and presented in a flocked tray. each fork adjusted to the tone of each of the tracks from biophiia and covering a complete octave in a non-conventional scale. each case comes with an individual numbered certificate detailing the use of tuning forks.

the ultimate art edition contains the biophilia manual.
the manual presents the music of biophilia in a 48-page, full-color, hardbound, cloth-covered, and thread-sewn book, tipped on lenticular panel to the front cover, with foil-blocked spine and back cover; the music, on cd, is housed in black uncoated board wallets. the manual is removed from the case by means of a ribbon pull.

"Contagion" Trailer

This looks pretty awesome to me. Definitely a star-studded affair. It has Matt Damon, Gwenyth Paltrow, Kate Winslet, Jude Law, Lawrence Fishburne and Marion Cotillard amongst others. I feel like I have seen this plot before, but the cast is exciting. It looks like it has the same premise as that film called "Outbreak" starring Dustin Hoffman (but scarier). I think those actors mostly pick pretty good scripts. It comes out on September 9th.

"Mansions on the Moon: Paradise Falls"

I stumbled upon this free mixtape (it's fantastic)from a band called Mansions on the Moon. If you haven't downloaded it, please do. You won't regret it. Every track is fantastic (even though they are mixed together). Diplo and DJ Benzi have mixed their songs into a brilliant sounding mix. It made me happy to hear it, I really couldn't get enough of it. I really look forward to when their debut album comes out, this was a great introduction and I am now a fan.

You can download and hear the mixtape for free from their website at http://mansionsonthemoon.com/paradisefalls/

"2 Broke Girls" Preview

This looks hilarious. The title attracted my attention, the preview reeled me in. I'm already pretty sure that I'm gonna like this one. Take a peek at the trailer and then tune in on CBS this Fall.

James Franco on Jimmy Kimmel Live

I found this part of the interview fascinating. I had never heard of such a concept as "non-visible" art. It was intriguing. James Franco is a pretty interesting guy. Take a look at the interview below.

"Columbiana" movie trailer

This seems pretty promising. Not sure how I feel about Zoe Saldana, but it looks action packed. I don't usually think of her as an ass-kicking assassin, but I guess we will see. Looks Kill Bill-ish.

Neneh Cherry's "Manchild," a classic...

Neneh was way ahead of her time, this song came out in 1988 (23 years ago!) and still sounds pretty fresh. I listened to her entire CD "Raw Like Sushi" recently and it has held up remarkably well over time. She was a trendsetter, I think Kelis probably took some tips from her. That towel on her head was an actual British style back in the day. I still love this!

Casey Anthony Mask

I can't believe this is actually available for sale. It really is just in poor taste. To me, it looks more like a Casey Anthony elf (like from Lord of the Rings). Anyhow, here is a look at the ridiculous thing. If anyone shows up at my door with this stupid mask on Halloween, they most certainly won't get any candy. Don't buy this!

Girlfriends "The Movie"

I really miss Girlfriends and I want this movie to happen so badly. It seemed so rude to the fans that we were not given a proper ending for the series after 8 years. With the recent success of it's spin-off show "The Game" on BET, it seems like there would be enough interest for some type of film or TV movie to tie up the series. According to the Girlfriends Wikipedia page, there has been recent interest in the show and a Facebook page for the series has been set-up to see if there is enough interest still to further the series (it currently has 90,000 likes).

I'm sure that the shows writer/creator Mara Brock Akil would have already had a perfect ending planned before the series was ended. They could even bring back Toni (who left after the 6th season) for the movie. I'm sure the cast would like to see this happen as well. The show is being shown so much in reruns that I'm sure that it has a new fan base just from the reruns. I just thought I would throw this out into the universe.

Creepy "Wildfire" video by SBTRKT

This video is really creepy in a "The Grudge" or "The Ring" sort of way. The special effects are eerie to me, but I still couldn't stop watching it. The song and video are pretty awesome. Take a peek.

Mystery of Dead Woman in Public Pool for almost 3 Days...

This was on the news a couple of weeks ago and I couldn't get it out of my head. It really blows my mind that no one saw her at the bottom of the pool (and the pool was completely busy!) I think those life guards should be let go, especially if someone had told them that a woman went down the slide and didn't surface. They must have barely looked. Please take a look below.

Strange Addictions...Eating Dryer Sheets???

This was so bizarre that I had to comment about it. I saw it on GMA this morning, this lady is addicted to eating dryer sheets. She eats them all day long. Disgusting (or maybe delicious, I wouldn't know). Take a look at the clip below.

Molly Shannon on Jimmy Kimmel Live

I always enjoy Molly Shannon. She came on Jimmy Kimmel promoting a children's book that she wrote and her new movie "Bad Teacher" with Cameron Diaz. She fascinates me because you never know what she is going to do or say. She is a complete wild card and always interesting and funny. She has funny stories about her dad when she was growing up. Here's 2 out of 3 of her segments with Jimmy Kimmel.

Bjork "Crystalline"

The first single "Crystalline" from "Biophilia" has been officially released. It is interesting enough, it has grown on me with time. I find myself humming the lyrics after a while. I appreciate that she is always original and really sings about what she is feeling at the time. Rather than following musical trends in order to sell records, she still manages to keep her artistic integrity. The song is about rock crystals growing in the earth (who else would be singing about that?) Her new look is kind of odd. With that hair, she sort of looks like the Mad Hatter in Tim Burton's "Alice In Wonderland."

Kelly Rowland on the 2011 BET Music Awards

This was no doubt, the BEST performance of the night for me. I've always known she had what it takes to be in the forefront. In Destiny's Child, she was always in Beyonce's shadow.

Way to show them Kelly, she wore out the stage. What an excellent performance (even better than Beyonce's performance). Everyone I talked to agreed it was the "standout" of a rather bland awards ceremony. This year's awards show was both too young and too old at the same time, there seemed not much middle ground between Patti Labelle and Justin Beiber.

Kelis "Fourth of July (Fireworks)" live

I'm pretty sure I've posted her official video for this, but since the song is the "Fourth of July (Fireworks)" it seems appropriate that I would post a live version at this time (considering it is almost Independence Day). I also look for any opportunity to post anything about Kelis because I love her so much. Here is a live clip of the song.

Beyonce's "4"

I do love Beyonce, but lately I just haven't been feeling her music. Her previous two albums "B-Day" and "I am...Sasha Fierce" have served up nothing more than pop tune fluff. I long for the days where she sang RNB songs (remember "Dangerously in Love?). Her new album called "4" is a return to her RNB roots (which excites me). She has so much soul in her voice that it seems like such a waste for her to just sing silly pop songs. I love almost every song on this disc and most of the songs have a retro-soul sort of vibe. My favorite track is called "Party" and features the reclusive and amazing Andre 3000 and Kanye West. "End Of Time" is another favorite, it has an upbeat sounding African rhythm section and horns.

Another gripe that I usually have with Beyonce is that she releases her album and then 3 or 4 months later she releases a "Deluxe Edition" with extra tracks (after her true fans have already bought the first disc). She released the "Deluxe Edition" with the regular edition, thus giving her fans the opportunity to choose which edition they want. The "Deluxe Edition" is a Target-only exclusive and offers 3 extra tracks and some additional remixes (I would recommend this edition, the extra tracks are definitely worth it). I think this is her best CD in years (3 out of 4 stars).

Rooibos or "Red Tea"

I've been watching "The No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency" mini-series that takes place in South Africa and they are always drinking what they call "Bush Tea" also known as Rooibos or "Red Tea." I decided to try it and it has become my new obsession. It is an herbal caffeine-free tea that is quite delicious and has numerous health benefits. It is extremely high in anti-oxidants and has a very soothing effect on the nerves. It tastes great with almond milk and honey. It has a very earthy, warm vanilla-like taste.

Here is what Wikipedia has to say about its health benefits:

"Rooibos is becoming more popular in Western countries, particularly among health-conscious consumers, due to its high level of antioxidants such as aspalathin and nothofagin, its lack of caffeine, and its low tannin levels compared to fully oxidized black tea or unoxidized green tea leaves. Rooibos also contains a number of phenolic compounds, including flavanols, flavones, flavanones, and dihydrochalcones.

Rooibos is purported to assist with nervous tension, allergies and digestive problems.

Traditional medicinal uses of rooibos in South Africa include alleviating infantile colic, allergies, asthma and dermatological problems."

Cameron Diaz on David Letterman

This was pretty great. Cameron Diaz was on David Letterman last night talking about A-Rod and then feeds Dave some popcorn. She usually doesn't discuss her relationship details, so I thought this was interesting. She even calls Alex her boyfriend for once. I enjoyed watching this. She has really been making the rounds promoting her new movie "Bad Teacher," I'm pretty sure I saw her on 3 different shows yesterday.

Jamiroquai "Smile"

Jamiroquai has a brand new track called "Smile" that they are giving away for free as a download. It's a great song, very reminiscent of their older soul-inspired sound (before they went disco). You can download the track for free at http://soundcloud.com/jamiroquai1/jamiroquai-smile. I recommend downloading it, as always I love artists who give away free music (it is a great promotional tool to get people to listen to your music). It makes me smile :)

Maxwell on VH1 Storytellers

Maxwell will be featured on VH1 Storytellers this Friday, June 17th. The show is very similar to MTV Unplugged, where Maxwell will perform songs in front of a small, intimate audience. It should be pretty exciting. Maybe he will even sing a new song or two. We're still waiting for the promised second installment of his planned trilogy, called blackSUMMERS'night. He has stated that it will be released this summer, but it is now summer and we are still waiting. Anyway, he is usually worth the wait. He sounds pretty great live also. Check out the show if you can.

Bjork's new "Crystalline" teaser

Bjork just released a new teaser for her new single "Crystalline" which comes out later this month. It is 34 seconds of her driving around in her car listening to her own music in Iceland. Sounds silly, but I was of course intrigued. I can't wait, and from what I could hear it was thrilling. It's definitely what I would call a teaser, I didn't want it to end. If you care, take a peak.

"Charlie's Angels" on ABC this Fall

This new installmnet of "Charlie's Angels" for the ABC network does not look very exciting. It is executive produced by Drew Barrymore, but the actresses seem underwhelming to me. I have and always will enjoy the premise behind Charlie's Angels. In my mind, there could just be a revolving door at this agency where they are just continually switching out the women from the '70's up until present day. It's a pretty standard formulaic concept. Three intelligent and pretty private detectives who go undercover and then hijinks ensues (we get it, we've seen this before), so it really falls on the actresses themselves to draw you in. From this early trailer I wasn't feeling any of them. I will give it a try, but I am not optimistic about it lasting very long. Take a look at the trailer. Update: After 4 horrible episodes, ABC cancelled this terrible mess. I think I barely finished the pilot. Why bother remaking something if you are going to do it so poorly?

Dia Frampton on "The Voice"

Dia Frampton is a somewhat shy contestant on "The Voice" who usually sings bubbly pop-folk songs. So I was really surprised that she was given the Kanye West song "Heartless" to sing, because it seemed like a long stretch that I was certain she would not be able to successfully pull off. To my surprise (and everyone else), she made it work and made it memorable. She isn't really my favorite contestant, but I thought it was a really odd song choice for her. I guess it stuck in my mind because I thought it was so strange. Please take a look.

Rihanna's new video "Man Down"

This video was shockingly violent to me. I wanted her to explain why she shot that man (actually when you get to the end of the video it shows the reason why, looks like he had it coming.) I just didn't expect for her to shoot him like that. It really stuck in my mind for some reason. The song really grew on me also, it reminds me of my trip to the Caribbean. Every other song played on the radio down there was by her.

Sarah Michelle Gellar in "Ringer"

This looks so good, I can't wait. It appears that Sarah Michelle is playing twins and something horrible happens. It's already my favorite show and it hasn't even started yet. I loved Buffy so much that I have been waiting to see her on TV again, the wait is over. Looks intense. It starts this fall on the CW Network.

Erykah Badu's New Video for "Out My Mind, Just In Time"

Erykah has a new video that she directed herself for "Out My Mind, Just In Time (Movement 1)." She does an interesting interpretive dance number in what looks like a nightgown. It's very simple, but it somehow works. It's one of my favorite songs on her CD "New Amerykah: Part II (Return of the Ankh).

"Bounce" featuring Kelis

I think I love this song. I just couldn't stop bouncing my head to it. Anyone who knows me, knows that I am Kelis' biggest supporter. Any track that has Kelis on it, will have me right there listening to it (she just adds a certain something to any song). So this Calvin Harris track featuring Kelis is nonetheless a hit for me. Calvin Harris is a Scottish DJ/Producer, some might say similar to David Guetta. One of the comments on YouTube said that this song "sounds like an amazing Nintendo game from the 80's" I agree, but in a good way. It would have been nice to see more of Kelis in the video though.

Bjork's New "App" Album Biophilia

The more I hear about Bjork's new upcoming project "Biophilia," the stranger and stranger it sounds. From the description, it sounds as if you will have to buy Apple computer applications in order to have the music. It just seems as if she would have to release a physical CD version in order for it to sell, right? I am her biggest fan, but I refuse to buy "apps" to hear or enjoy her music. That just crosses some sort of technological boundary lines for me. If this happens to be the case, it will be interesting to see how the world reacts to this new revolutionary "concept" of hers. I also tried to go to her official website and you now have to install something to even enter the website (I must say that it scared me away). I do consider myself a man of the future, I'm just not sure that I like being forced into new concepts when I am not ready for them.

This is Wikipedia's description for Biophilia: "The album is "partly recorded" on an iPad and will be released in the form of a series of apps. Biophilia will be the world's "first app album" in collaboration with Apple. Björk has described the project, directed by Michel Gondry,as a multimedia collection "encompassing music, apps, Internet, installations and live shows". Material from the album will debut during a concert series to be held this summer at the Manchester International Festival."

Beyonce's new video for "Run The World (Girls)"

I don't quite know what to think of this new Beyonce song and video for "Run The World (Girls)." I think I could do without this one. I do like her dancing and choreography (she's dancing pretty hard-core). The song leaves something to be desired though, I almost wanted to mute the song and just watch the video. Maybe the follow up singles will be better.
