Howard Stern's Judge Judy Prank
My cousin tuned me into this, it is hilarious. Howard Stern pranked this woman on the phone with recordings from Judge Judy's show. The funny thing is that they never figured out that the recording was Judge Judy and not an actual person (I feel like I would have recognized her voice right away.) They call this woman 3 times and it is hilarious how her attitude increases with every phone call. Please listen to this, too funny!

Kim Kardashian confronts H8tr
Mario Lopez has a show (that I've never seen before)called H8tr where he tricks viewers into thinking that they are auditioning for a Pop Culture reality show. He asks the viewer which celebrity they hate the most and then he confronts that viewer with the actual celebrity to try to change their minds. This one with Kim Kardashian was pretty great.

Lindsey Lohan Face Morph
This has been trending on the internet and a friend finally made me watch it. It's really weird and has creepy music, horrifying.

Shit Girls Say
This was so funny to me. Especially the part where Juliette Lewis comes on (he kind of looks like her with that wig on). I've heard girls say each of these things to me at some point. Check it out.

Beetlejuice 2
I got so excited when I read about this. It is still in deveplopment at this point, but there are talks about both Michael Keaton (the original star) and Tom Burton (the original director) both being involved. It is being written by "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter" author Seth Grahame-Smith, who says that he does not want to do this without Michael Keaton as the star of this sequel story which would take place 26 years after the original story. I always thought there was more story there. I think they should bring back Winona Ryder's character "Lydia" just for kicks.
I always thought this was one of the most original and exciting stories to this day. The character was so crazy that he would still be up to no good even after all this time. I really do hope that this happens, Michael Keaton would still be fantastic in this part, even after all these years.

Dog that hates Julia Roberts
This was so weird, I had to blog about it. They mentioned this a couple of weeks ago on The Soup. This couple's dog recoils in horror at the mere site of Julia Roberts. First of all, why are they showing their dog pictures of Julia Roberts? The dog seems obviously traumatized by her, this is too funny.

The Beautiful Jennifer Lopez

Jennifer Lopez was voted as "People's Most Beautiful Woman in the World." For once, I agree with them. I love the fact that she is not in her 20's or a white female and also not a stick figure. It really shows that beauty standards are changing over time, which is nice to see. I've always known this, glad to see that People Magazine agrees. She is always beautiful, classy and stylish (she looked so pretty in all of her photos that I found it hard to choose one). I'll stop gushing now.

Ryan Reynolds as People Magazine's "Sexiest Man Alive"

Ryan Reynolds? Really?? He is the most boring man that I have ever seen. Even his cover photo for People Magazine is pretty bland. He has been in great shape since he did Wolverine (I'll give him that), but his face is so plain and boring. His wife Scarlett Johansson is sexy, but he is not at all. I really would like to know who does their voting (maybe they gave him extra points for his body). His face is pretty blah and bland. Am I blind?

HAVE A HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
This zombie make-up was done by a professional movie effects make-up artist 2 years ago (it was awesome and was slowly trickling blood throughout the night). I was the lucky person in the audience who got picked to demonstrate the make-up artists' talents at a convention. It looked much grosser in person. It looked so disgusting that people wouldn't look at me in the face. It also took several hours to be completed. Seemed Halloween appropriate.

Salma Hayek's snake freak out

During an interview for her new movie called "Grown Ups," a snake slithers onto the interview set and the star just completely freaks out. She is terrified and totally loses her cool. I thought this was interesting because years before, I distinctly remember Salma doing a pretty raunchy striptease (with a large snake)in "From Dusk 'Til Dawn." Now that I know how afraid she is of snakes, I realize what a good actress she really is (not really).

"Unschooling"

Unschooling is a controversial new educational trend that has been popping up on all the news stations. According to Wikipedia, "Unschooling refers to a range of educational philosophies and practices centered on allowing children to learn through their natural life experiences, including child directed play, game play, household responsibilities, work experience and social interaction, rather than through a more traditional school curriculum."
In my opinion, it seems dangerous to give children so much authority at a young age. What if they decide that they don't want to do anything at all? And how will this help to prepare them for the real world? I feel that this will give children an unhealthy assumption that they will always be able to control everything in their lives and they will be in for a rude awakening when they go to attend college (if they should choose to do so). "Unschooling encourages exploration of activities led by the children themselves, facilitated by the adults." Wouldn't most children prefer this kind of learning if they were given a choice? Kids would also like to have pizza and ice cream for every meal, should we allow that as well? Where do we draw the line? It's sort of like that Rolling Stones song that says "You can't always get what you want..."

I hate Starbucks

I don't drink coffee due to a hyper-sensitivity to caffeine, so I usually tend to stay away from coffee shops. My boss frequently gives out Starbucks gift cards as gifts. While it is nice to receive gifts, I don't have a whole lot of use for these because I don't and can't drink coffee. Today I decided to use one of these gift cards, because I now have two of them. Their menu only offers about 3 non-caffeine choices that are not coffee. I decided upon the Vanilla Rooibos with soy milk. My choice seemed to irritate the cashier for some reason (maybe it bothered her that I didn't order coffee). Anyway, she was a total b****. All she has to do is put a teabag in some hot water and charge me $3 for this, how difficult this must have been for her. She also left out the shot of vanilla which I didn't notice until I got home. Needless to say, she got no tip from me. I was glad to not be addicted to caffeine so that I wouldn't have to repeatedly see her stupid face. Hmmm, maybe I just hate her and not Starbucks.

The "Our Body, The Universe Within" art exhibit

This is an exhibit that is showing at the H.J. Lutcher Stark Center on the U.T. Campus. It has been travelling the world and I finally had the opportunity to see the exhibit. It was both interesting and disturbing at the same time. Most of the exhibits were pretty harmless (the kind of fare that you would see in biology class, the only exception would be that instead of using artificially made models, they used real human cadavers). The bodies were preserved using a process called polymer impregnation which both preserves and dries. The skin had been removed so that you could see the muscle and skeletal systems and some were only partially skinned. Blood vessels and muscles were painted to match live muscle and pigment tones.
Some of the bodies were encased in glass and some were not. It was quite shocking to see them up close. Capillaries and ventricles were highlighted with color for enhancement. The most horrifying thing by far was the prenatal room which had several dead infants and fetuses (shown in monthly progressions) in liquid and lit by lights from underneath(very disturbing). Also there were several bodies that had been sliced into small half inch segments. The segments were then encased in small, glass window-like sections and then spread out so that it looked like a human body that had been stretched out like an accordion. You could see in between each of the segments and the body is laid out as if the person is laying on their back. There was also a body that was holding it's own skin in his arms. Other parts of the exhibit showed various parts of the body and organs opened to where everything inside is visible.
Most of the hour long exhibit seemed harmless, nothing you wouldn't normally see in a science class. It was fascinating to see, but not for the squeamish. I couldn't decide whether it was art or science (maybe it really was both, but I'm glad to have seen it). I think it was one of the most interesting things that I have seen. Check it out if you have the chance. It will be on display until September.

KFC's weird new "sandwich"

KFC has a new and ridiculous sandwich called the "Double Down." Their new "revolutionary" idea replaces the burger buns with chicken. So instead of 2 burger buns, you get 2 chicken fillets. Between the 2 fillets are 2 strips of bacon and 2 slices of cheese (yummy, sounds like a heart attack to me).
The sandwich is low carb, but very high in fat and calories. It contains 23 grams of fat in the grilled version and 32 grams in the fried variety. By having the 2 fillets, you get a whopping 53 grams of protein (probably a dream meal for a bodybuilder). I'll skip this one.

Miley Cyrus...So tired of seeing her

I feel like if I see Miley Cyrus one more time, I am going to scream! I know she has a new movie called "The Last Song" that she is promoting, but for goodness sake, does she have to appear on every program? She has been on Good Morning America, Ellen, The View, American Idol and I'm sure others that I have not seen. I've never really thought she was that annoying (I usually only have to endure her when my neices are around), but then I started to hear her speak. Everything that comes out of her mouth sounds completely unintelligent. It could just be me getting old, but she really would benefit by taking some speech etiquette classes. Nobody cares about your stupid Twitter account Miley and why you closed it. I've heard this story so many times recently that it makes me want to poke my eyes out. I realize that I am out of her age demographic, but I just don't want to see her everywhere. I wish she would just turn 18 already, so we can forget about her the way we did with Hillary Duff.

"Just Wright" Trailer

This new Queen Latifah/Common romantic comedy looks promising. The always beautiful Paula Patton plays Latifah's sidekick. It is about a professional basketball player, Common, who injures himself and who is then rehabilitated by a physical therapist played by Queen Latifah. My guess is they fall in love at some point. Looks pretty straightforward and uncomplicated. Here's a look at the trailer. Film will be coming out in May.

Naomi Campbell slaps someone again

Can you believe that she has never done time for any of her assaults? The list goes on and on. In 2000, she assaulted her then assistant with a telephone. In 2005, she slapped another assistant and beat her around the head with a Blackberry. In 2006, she assaulted a housekeeper with a bejeweled cell phone that resulted in a bloody head and stitches. In 2007, she assaulted another housekeeper this time she was sentenced to go to anger management courses (a lot of help that did). In 2008, she assaulted a police officer after some of her bags went missing on a British airline. This time she was sentenced to 200 hours of community service and a fine. This month she assaulted a limo driver by slapping and punching him (he didn't press charges just like the rest of her previous staff that she assaulted). Someone should press charges and send her to jail for a while, then she would probably stop assaulting people.
