I recently watched the musical Nine that stars Daniel Day-Lewis, Nicole Kidman, Penelope Cruz and Kate Hudson. While I don't usually enjoy musicals (I didn't really enjoy this one either), I have to say I was blown away by Kate Hudson's performance. When she started to sing it was electric. I usually find her pretty bland, especially in the light romantic comedy fare that she usually churns out. For some reason her performance seemed to be the flashiest and most enjoyable. It really was to me, the best part of the film. The other performers could also sing and dance, but her part stood out the most(Fergie from the Black Eyed Peas also was memorable). Good job Kate!
